The concept of Harrisburg City Performing Arts Group is to restore the Capital City as the “shining light on a hill” through great performances and training in Music, Dance, and Theater.
It is community building through the Performing Arts.
We believe that
We intend to
- promote all of the professional arts organizations in the City with additional exposure
- see every public school have a well-maintained piano on site
- provide dance classes for the various immigrant communities.
- provide an opportunity to mount and present a musical in every public school
- see growth, student success, community safety, and a healthier Capital through the Performing Arts
- restore the once thriving Classical and Jazz scene in the Capital and form Harrisburg-based ensembles to tour throughout the state, bringing a sense of pride in Harrisburg City
