Market Square Concerts ends its annual season with Jasper String Quartet, a Pennsylvania-based professional string quartet celebrated as one of the preeminent American string quartets of the twenty-first century.  They’ve been hailed as “flawless in ensemble and intonation, expressively assured and beautifully balanced” (Gramophone).

The concert will feature the following works: Franz Joseph Haydn: String Quartet in D Major, Op. 20, No. 4, Hob. III:34, “Sun” (1772).  Gabriella Smith (b. 1991): Carrot Revolution (2015)​ Jungyoon Wie (b. 1990): Saeya, Saeya Parang Saeya (Birds, Birds, Blue Birds) from Han (2019)​ and Sergei Prokofiev: String Quartet No. 2 in F Major, Op. 92 (1941).
